Since opening in 2008, the Autódromo Internacional do Algarve has played host to some of the biggest championships and names in motorsport.

MotoGP. World Superbikes. Formula One.

The same circuit that has seen riders and drivers including the very best in the world fighting for Grand Prix and World Championship victories is yours to experience for three full days.

Portimão made its WorldSBK debut when the circuit opened in 2008 and has since become firmly established as one of the championship’s most recognisable venues.

MotoGP arrived at Portimão in 2020, while Formula One also brought the Portuguese Grand Prix to the Algarve circuit in 2020 and 2021.

It is a circuit with real international racing history.

Rider safety is of the utmost importance to us.

Rider behaviour, track etiquette and the standard of riding are actively managed throughout the event by the Focused Events team.

From the initial rider briefing through to group management and behaviour on circuit, our team remains in control throughout all three days.

We want people to ride, enjoy their motorcycles and have an incredible time.

But we also want everyone to understand that they are sharing the circuit with other riders.

Dangerous, irresponsible or unacceptable riding behaviour will be dealt with.

Plenty of laps. Well-managed groups. Good riding standards. A great atmosphere.

You concentrate on riding your bike.

GETTING TO PORTIMÃO

For our Portimão events, we recommend flying into Faro Airport.

Faro is served by a wide range of flights from UK airports, including services operated by airlines such as:

• Ryanair
• Jet2
• British Airways

We recommend using flight comparison services such as Skyscanner to check the best options from your preferred UK airport.

CAR HIRE

A hire car is recommended for travelling between Faro Airport, the hotel and circuit.

We also recommend comparing independent car hire providers rather than automatically adding a hire car through your airline, as competitive rates can often be found directly with providers operating from Faro Airport.
