Acknowledgement of Risk:

Motorsport is dangerous and can involve injury or death and despite Focused Events taking all reasonable precautions, accidents can happen. By attending a track day, you acknowledge this and confirm that you are aware of the nature of the activity and attend at the venue at your own risk.

Focused Events reserve the right to remove any persons who are acting against the interests of safety and/or whose behaviour is likely to cause damage, nuisance, or injury.

Focused Events are not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury to persons or of property caused or sustained by you as result of attendance at any track day, save for liability for death or personal injury arising from Focused Events negligence or for fraudulent misrepresentation.

Insurance:

You MUST have track day insurance to cover you specifically for riding a motorbike on a racetrack at any of the European Events. This is to ensure that, in the unlikely event of an accident, the proper medical care can be given and if required, repatriation can be provided. There are three types of insurance you should consider for a European Track Day:

Track Day Insurance
This is mandatory for riding on tracks in Europe. This must include a minimum of £50k private medical cover, repatriation and this must be specific for Track Days – motorcycle use will not cover your event.

All customers aged 70 and over must ensure they have the correct accident insurance for Europe.

UK Global Health Insurance Card (GHIC)
As with all holidays abroad, it is always sensible to cover yourself against any unforeseen eventuality, no matter how much you think it will not happen to you. Booking a European Track Day is no different which is why we recommend that you have an GB European Health Card, which is free. All you need is your name, address, and national insurance number.

Personal Travel Insurance
This is optional but highly recommended as, depending on the policy, it could cover you for any travel cost reimbursement, should you be unable to attend for some reason, or for loss of valuables during your trip such as misplaced or stolen items.

European Events:

Focused Events cannot be held responsible for any changes to flight times and/or schedules by airline carriers. We also cannot be held responsible for the attitudes and considerations of airline staff.

We maintain the right to cancel any reservations or bookings in relation to European events.

Focused Events maintain the right to remove customers from European events when they do not act or behave in the best interest of other customers on the event, hotels or race circuits and no refunds will be given.

Focused Events are not responsible for any adverse weather conditions that may affect circuit availability.

We cannot be held responsible for European circuits cancelling, transferring, terminating, or adjusting dates and therefore cannot be held responsible for any associated third-party costs.

Hotel changes

Customers arriving at hotels, that have not booked a single, will be charged double the single rate, as they also have to pay for the room that was allocated to them, that they are now leaving.

Customers arriving with partners or friends, that have not been booked, will also as above, if they leave a room, be required to pay for the room they have left.

Customers arriving that have booked a single, and arrive with a partner, that has not been booked, will be required to pay the extra partner costs, plus an additional 10% admin fee.

Bikes on Holiday:

Bikes on Holiday Insurance is £99.00 on top of full event cost and is valid for one year.

When you decide to have your bike returned to the UK, please contact the office, and then put the request in writing. Email bookings@focusedevents.com

This is on request only and cannot always be guaranteed, it will then be placed into our logistics timeline and returned as soon as possible. Normally within 1 month.

For customers that book events outside of the Bikes on Holiday process, these events will be paid in full as we have to transport your machine from Almeria to that event.

Customers in the BOH process, should remember that Season tickets and discounts only apply to Almeria and Andalucía events. All other events are outside the BOH process and will be charged at normal rate, to include all transports.

For events in Italy your machine will have to be returned 1st from Almeria to the UK, and then sent to Mugello. This will mean your original return from your 1st Almeria event will have been completed. To return to the BOH process, a normal event price with transports will now need to be booked.

Removal of customers from events:

Focused Events reserves the right to remove from its events, either prior or during an event, persons if that individual is deemed a danger to themselves or others. We also reserve the right to remove attendees, that say or write defamatory comment or are involved in activities that are slanderous or seen to not be in the interest of either FE, other attendees and themselves. Whilst we of course support free speech, we do not condone or will accept slanderous accusations or activity.

We will not be held responsible for any associated costs attached to the individual either before or during an event, when removing a person.

We will also not allow persons on or to continue on our events that are disrespectful to FE members of staff, or other attendees.

Customers being removed from events will lose any deposits or full payments made within the payment terms timelines.

European Events Accommodation:

Focused Events reserves the right to change the accommodation on offer.

Hotel accommodation and room requests must be confirmed and paid a minimum of 7 days prior to the event. Any accommodation amendments requested within 28 days are subject to availability.

All accommodation upgrades, share requests and extra nights must be confirmed in writing via email or through completion of the event extras pack.

Within 28 days of the event, we will be unable to offer any name changes or cancellations. If you cancel an event Focused Events cannot be held responsible for any third-party costs already incurred.

Focused Events’ accommodation prices are based on TWO RIDERS sharing.  If you wish to share with a non-rider, this will incur a non-rider accommodation supplement.  If you wish to book a single room, this will incur a single-occupancy upgrade fee.

Please note if on arrival at the hotel you request a change of room from a twin share to a single room, the price will be double the single room supplement as both the room vacated and the single room supplement for the additional room is charged.

Customers that arrive at hotel and change their rooming requirements are liable for all costs.

If full payment of a balance due is not paid within 7 days of the closure date, we reserve the right to cancel the booking with the loss of the booking fee and deposit.

Focused Events reserve the right to withhold customers belongings when a balance has not been cleared prior to the arranged collection date.

Customers that damage hotel property will be charged by FE for any damage done at the hotel.

On the Day Bookings:

There is a £15 – £20 surcharge for an on the day booking. We cannot guarantee there will be a space and the rate may vary according to the size of the event.

External Instructors on FE events:

We have an extensive team of instructors that can assist customers of all levels on the Race Circuit. If attendees wish to use their own instructors, this can be arranged. However, the instructor must send a copy of their current CV, Risk Assessment and Public Liability Insurance to Focused Events. Once this has been reviewed, Focused Events will then decide as to whether this can be permitted. Outside of this process, independent Instruction is not allowed on FE events.

Carnet Costs:

On Euro events your carnet costs up to a value of £10,000 are included in your event cost booking. On additional value there will be an additional cost of £2.50 per £1000, will be charged.

This charge of £2.50 is for the Insurance required for the Carnet value of your machine and kit. it is not the same as the additional insurance you may decide to add to your goods value. This insurance is a Brexit requirement. Simply a Carnet is a document of promise, to return to the UK any goods used outside the UK, to ensure they are not exported into that country. the Insurance is to ensure the Carnet is honoured and the goods returned.

Values must be correct, for the value of your goods, or if upon inspection at the Border, Customs found the value was undervalue, then the whole vehicle could be impounded, and your goods seized.

We do not accept any responsibility for paintwork that has not been applied correctly and cured in an oven. We do not accept responsibility for wrap damage.

All hires bikes are subject to an indemnity fee and availability so please call us on 01798 812704, regarding this before booking. The hire fee entitles you to a maximum of six sessions per event.

We require an indemnity deposit for hire bikes which is a minimum of £1800 and up to a maximum of £3000 and must be paid at the before the event.
