You MUST have track day insurance to cover you specifically for riding a motorbike on a race track at any of the European events. This is to ensure that, in the unlikely event of an accident, the proper medical care can be given and if required, repatriation can be provided. There are THREE types of insurance you should consider for a European Trackday:-
This is mandatory for riding on tracks in Europe.
European Health Insurance
As with all holidays abroad, it is always sensible to cover yourself against any unforeseen eventuality, no matter how much you think it will not happen to you. Booking a European Trackday is no different which is why we recommend that you have an EHIC European Health Card, which is free. You can apply online at www.ehic.org.uk. All you need is your name, address and national insurance number.
This is optional but highly recommended as, depending on the policy, it could cover you for any travel cost reimbursement, should you be unable to attend for some reason, or for loss of valuables during your trip such as misplaced or stolen items.
Motorcycles in transit
We will not accept any responsibility for paintwork that has not been applied correctly and cured in an oven. We will also not accept responsibiltiy for wrap damage.
For most events you will need to organise your own flights and hire cars.
Focused Events cannot be held responsible for any changes to flight times and/or schedules by airline carriers. We also cannot be held responsible for the attitudes and considerations of airline staff.
We maintain the right to cancel any reservations or bookings in relation to European events.
Focused Events maintain the right to remove customers from European events when they do not act or behave in the best interest of other customers on the event, hotels or race circuits and no refunds will be given.
Focused Events reserves the right to change the accommodation on offer.
Focused Events' accommodation prices are based on TWO RIDERS sharing. If you wish to share with a non-rider, this will incur a non-rider accommodation supplement. If you wish to book a single room, this will incur a single-occupancy supplement.
We cannot be held responsible for European circuits cancelling, transferring or terminating, or adjusting dates and therefore cannot be held responsible for any associated third party costs.
Bike Drop off and Collection
Customers can bring ONE bike. Note. If you intend to bring a larger bike e.g. adventure or touring type, you must notify Focused Events as there may be an extra charge based on size. You can also bring the following items:
- ONE kit bag up 17 kilos
- ONE tool box up to 15 kilos
- ONE set of stands
- ONE set of wheels OR tyres - these have to be within the prescribed limit as set out in the pre-event pack sent to you
IMPORTANT: Focused Events will charge you for any additional items and any items over the weight allowance specified.
Drop off and Collection Times
Customers are required to drop off and collect a bike at the prescribed times. You can drop/collect outside of these times for an additional £20 fee. If any bike is NOT collected within THREE days of the prescribed collection date or by prior arrangement, there will be a £10 per day charge levied to cover the cost of storage and insurance, until the bike is collected.
We cannot pay any compensation, damages, expenses, costs, losses or any other amount of any description or otherwise accept responsibility if we have to change or cancel a booking or your booking cannot be provided as or when agreed, or your booking arrangements prove deficient or you suffer any loss or damage of any description (including death or personal injury) as a result of circumstances or an event beyond our control, which we could not foresee or avoid even after taking all reasonable care. Such circumstances will usually include war, terrorist activity, civil unrest, industrial dispute, fire, natural or nuclear disaster, bad weather and all similar circumstances and in all such cases whether, actual or threatened.
European hire bike prices are charged at a day rate and come with a serviceable set of tyres. The indemnity deposit for European hire bikes is £750** and must be paid at the begininng of the event. The deposit will be refunded as long as the bike is returned in the same condition as it was hired out to the rider, otherwise it will be used to repair any damage done and the rider may have to contribute to the cost of repair may if this is above the indemnity deposit amount. In the event of damage to the hire bike you may not be able to use the bike for the rest of that event. Customers are responsible for fuel used and must return the bike with a serviceable set of tyres.
